Are you ready to play a leading role in one of the University of Brighton’s most impactful areas of student recruitment? We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Student Recruitment Events Manager to nurture and deliver our institution-wide programme of recruitment events.
This central role is at the heart of our recruitment activity, guiding the strategy, development, and delivery of large-scale campus events that welcome tens of thousands of prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students each year. You will coordinate operational planning, enrich event experiences, and ensure all activity is inclusive, student-centred, and aligned with recruitment priorities.
You will champion innovation through CRM-based booking and reporting, using feedback and competitor insight to continuously improve event content, visitor experience, and overall impact. The role also involves working in partnership with colleagues across the University, supporting new and priority courses, and leading a team of event specialists through recruitment, development, and supportive performance management to foster a collaborative, high-performing, student-focused service.
If you’re an events professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, values teamwork, and is passionate about creating meaningful and memorable engagement opportunities for prospective students, we’d love to hear from you.
The successful candidate will bring:
• Experience managing large-scale events programmes within complex organisations
• Knowledge of higher education and the needs of prospective students
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
• Ability to analyse data and apply insight to drive improvements
• Experience in leading, motivating, and supporting diverse teams, including volunteers
• Flexibility to travel between sites, lift event materials, and work evenings and up to 15 weekends per year
What we offer: We provide a competitive salary, contributory pension schemes, and generous annual leave, alongside a collaborative culture that values innovation, inclusivity, and teamwork. You’ll benefit from a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development, as well as a range of staff benefits including flexible hybrid working arrangements.
This is a full-time, permanent post reporting to the Head of UK Student Recruitment Operations, based at Moulsecoomb campus with hybrid working.
