            <p id="isPasted"><strong>Are you a passionate and experienced humanistic counsellor or psychotherapist looking to inspire the next generation of practitioners?&nbsp;</strong></p><p>We&rsquo;re seeking a&nbsp;registered/accredited humanistic counsellor or psychotherapist with experience of teaching in this or a related field and with considerable&nbsp;clinical experience and an interest in practice research. In this permanent, part-time (0.4 fte, 2 days per week: Wednesday and Thursday) position within our dynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy team at the University of Brighton you&rsquo;ll be joining a collaborative team of eight experienced professionals who teach across a range of modules and approaches, and we value respectful dialogue between them.</p><p>We run two courses: BACP-accredited Postgraduate Diplomas&nbsp;in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Humanistic and Psychodynamic) and a&nbsp;UKCP-accredited MSc in Psychotherapy. You will need to play a key role in shaping our students&rsquo; learning experience through: Delivering engaging lectures and seminars; marking and other assessment; scrutinising student portfolios; supervising research projects, selection and interviewing applicants to our courses; and support with the planning and developing of modules.</p><p>Where possible, we aim to align your responsibilities with your strengths and interests, ensuring a fulfilling and balanced role.</p><p><strong>We&rsquo;re looking for a colleague who has:</strong></p><ul><li>A postgraduate qualification or an equivalent level of professional experience in psychotherapy</li><li>Professional accreditation/registration with UKCP or Accreditation with BACP</li><li>Previous teaching experience of counselling and psychotherapy at postgraduate level or extensive relevant experience</li><li>A deep understanding of, and commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in both academic and practice learning settings</li></ul><p>In your new role you should demonstrate self-awareness in terms of understanding candidates&rsquo; own culture, identity, biases, prejudices, power, privilege and stereotypes, and be ready to challenge barriers and support inclusive learning environments.</p><p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p><p>At Brighton, you&rsquo;ll find a supportive and forward-thinking academic community.
