            <p id="isPasted"><strong>We are looking for a Building Surveyor to join a thriving university in our Estate and Facilities Management department</strong></p><p>Would you like to play a key part in the development and delivery of building investment programmes within a busy department which manages the physical environment in which staff and students work, live and learn?</p><p><strong>About the role:</strong><br>In this vital role as a Building Surveyor you will work as part of a small team with a varied workload delivering a variety of planned maintenance and improvement projects across our portfolio.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Some of your responsibilities will be:</strong></p><ul><li>To undertake surveys of university buildings to establish their condition</li><li>To manage the contractual relationships with relevant consultants/contractors</li><li>To advise on energy efficiency, environmental impact and sustainable construction</li><li>To advise on the Health and Safety aspects of buildings</li><li>Assisting in house Clients to develop briefs, design and specify works</li><li>Perform the role of Contract Administrator and Principal Designer under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations as necessary</li></ul><p><strong>About you:</strong><br><strong></strong>To succeed in the role you&rsquo;ll need comprehensive knowledge and experience of construction technology and building pathology along with good knowledge of the work practices, processes and procedures required for the delivery of maintenance and improvement projects from inception to completion. We regularly contribute at events to promote our team, encourage personal safety and to create an environment where everyone feels safe.&nbsp;</p><p>The responsibilities of the role will include working in the security control room and monitoring the CCTV network, providing a visible presence and a mobile response across all campuses.
