            <p id="isPasted"><strong>An exciting opportunity to become part of a small dynamic team in Information Services which provides project management and business analysis expertise for designated projects and initiatives</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will be pro-active in collaborating with colleagues in IT, the wider University as well as external parties, bringing your project management expertise to a wide range of change and improvement activities to ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality. You will have strong organisation, analysis and planning skills to manage large and complex IT related projects, underpinned by excellent project co-ordination, reporting, budget, change control and risk management skills.</p><p>Aligned to this will be the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders across the University, as well as externally. This will see you exercise a great deal of leadership, independence, initiative and judgement, with an ability to lead and facilitate discussions balancing stakeholder interests with those of the University so that best outcomes are achieved in its IT development. &nbsp;</p><p>With a commitment to best practice project management and promoting the discipline, we will want you to also mentor and support colleagues as part of developing the University&rsquo;s capability in this area.</p><p><strong>The ideal candidate will also need :</strong></p><ul><li>Substantial experience as a Project Manager in delivering IT infrastructure, systems development, change and transformation supporting projects</li><li>A thorough understanding and demonstrable application of practices, procedures and methods required for effective project management supported by professional qualification(s) and/or experience such as Prince2, Agile</li><li>Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills with an ability to control and facilitate discussions with colleagues at all levels, both internally and externally</li><li>Experience and familiarity with budget and procurement approaches as they relate to project delivery</li><li>A well-developed understanding of business analysis and requirements management as part of project lifecycle delivery</li><li>Experience of business improvement and change management principles, including benefits management and realisation</li><li>Excellent organisational, analytical, presentation and written skills, including an ability to articulate technical issues for non-specialist audiences</li><li>A positive &lsquo;can-do&rsquo; approach to your work, supporting and encouraging this in others.</li></ul><p>This is a full time, permanent position (37 hours per week) based at our Moulsecoomb Campus, and we welcome applications from candidates looking to job share. </p><p>In return, the University offers generous pension contributions, flexible working hours, and a comprehensive annual leave package that includes time off over Christmas. Our Student Systems team develops, integrates and supports the University&rsquo;s core student management systems, which handle everything from applications and enrolments to fees, results, placements, wellbeing and awards. We&rsquo;re now looking for someone to help us make the very best use of these systems.&nbsp;</p><p>Our primary development platform is SITS e:Vision, a proprietary toolkit used to build self‑service functions for students and applicants, as well as tools for staff to maintain student records. Full training will be provided &mdash; what you&rsquo;ll bring is an analytical mindset, an aptitude for web development and a willingness to learn.&nbsp;</p><p>Student data underpins almost every university process, and we support integrations with finance, accommodation, timetabling, UCAS, our VLE and identity management systems. You&rsquo;ll work across a mix of on‑premise and cloud‑hosted services, applying your SQL, PL/SQL, web services and scripting experience to maintain and enhance them.&nbsp;</p><p>We will also want you to play a key role in system support &mdash; from upgrades and patching to third‑line investigation, debugging and vendor liaison.
