Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Public Health

Salary:  £35,211 to £50,132 per annum

Working as part of our Community Health Programme you will contribute to providing a stimulating learning experience, motivating and inspiring students to become critical thinkers and high-quality professionals.

The role plays a key part in facilitating learning in BSc (Hons) Public Health, BSc (Hons) Nutrition and MSc Health Promotion programmes. We are committed to creating an interprofessional and multidisciplinary approach and have a philosophy of engaging in partnership with local voluntary agencies and public health teams within local government, and health/social care organisations. 

You will have a Masters in Public Health, Public Health Nutrition or related subject. Ideally you will have a PhD or extensive experience of delivering public health programmes, or be committed to studying at a higher level. A Higher Education teaching qualification, or relevant teaching experience and membership of HEA Fellowship is required, or will need to be achieved within first 12 months.  

If you have a Postgraduate degree and can supervise at this level, you will have opportunities to develop, as the University has an active programme for supporting early career researchers. Travel to other university sites will also be required. You will have up to date knowledge of contemporary public health policy and practice. We aim to take a global outward looking approach to our courses and experience of working in low or middle income countries, or in international agencies is particularly welcome.
