At Brighton, we embrace individuality and encourage our students and staff to explore their passions and their curiosity.  The Brighton Business and Law School advances responsible enterprise that makes a real difference and we are proud that REF 2014 judged our Business and Management research to be the 5th most impactful within the UK.  We have an ambitious strategy to gain AACSB accreditation.

As part of that strategy we seek to appoint a lecturer who can contribute to the teaching on Accounting and Finance programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels.

We are looking for candidates with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and an innovative approach to delivering the curriculum.  Ideally you will have experience of Higher Education but applications from candidates with a recognised Accountancy qualification, who may be seeking to move to a career in education or who have taught on professional Accountancy programmes, would be equally welcomed.  In particular, experience of and the ability to teach more specialised subjects such as Taxation, Audit & Assurance or Data Analytics would be desirable. Experience in the use of Bloomberg would also be useful.

In the role continuing academic development is expected as a means of keeping up to date with developments in those areas reflecting the changes in the business landscape and environment.  We encourage staff who are research active.

Job sharers are welcome for this role.
