Cleaning Supervisor

Estate and Facilities Management: Facilities Management

Location:  Brighton - Moulsecoomb
Salary:  £19,730 to £22,017 per annum

Your experience of supervising a team will be welcome in this key role which ensures that university buildings are cleaned and cared for to a high standard which is essential to ensuring that the university displays a positive image to its students, visitors and staff.

In the role you will supervise and train a team of cleaners and take a lead in agreeing service levels. Working with the Premises Officer, you will develop and maintain the use of quality control standards and ensure all aspects of health and safety are observed.

Cleaning experience is essential, as is the ability to organise and motivate a team of cleaning staff and excellent customer service and organisational skills.  You will hold a IOSH qualification and an NVQ in team leading or similar qualification and be adept at the use of computers including word processing, email and associated packages.

Hours of attendance are 05:30 to 13:30 Monday to Thursday and 05:30 to 13:00 on Friday. You may be required to work occasional weekends to service operational needs i.e. Open Days.  

The University has a Staff Uniform at Work policy for Estates and Facilities Management staff.  This policy will be given and explained to you when you start work at the University (uniform will be provided).
