Sport Participation Officer

Student Operations and Support

Location:  Brighton - Falmer
Salary:  £22,659 to £25,482 per annum
Contract Length: 12 months

Do you have sports development experience? Can you co-ordinate an engaging and innovative sport and activity programme?

Then we would like you to join us to enhance our existing sport and recreation programme, Parklife, which engages with approximately 9000 students and staff every year. (

Based at our Falmer campus, and working across all sites, you will specifically be involved in organising and promoting a physical activity programme, aimed at creating an active and healthy University community. You will be responsible for implementing systems to ensure that the University's duty of care for those participating in our activities meets and where possible exceeds best practice.

In order to be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience of developing projects, events, programme promotion, and methods to evaluate impact and effectiveness
  • Good communication skills to liaise with service users, professional services and external agencies
  • Experience of coordinating and supporting volunteers 
  • Knowledge of the administration and organisation sports activity programmes
