            <p id="isPasted"><strong>We are seeking to recruit an Archive Assistant / Administrator to join our Design Archives team based at Grand Parade</strong></p><p>In this role you&rsquo;ll have a key responsibility in the Design Archives team for providing administrative and curatorial support to the Design Archives collections and team across the range of its activities.</p><p>This job will require you to work closely with all members of the team: Archive Director, Preservation &amp; Digital Resources Co-ordinator and Digital Content and Systems Co-ordinator. In this permanent, part-time (0.4 fte, 2 days per week: Wednesday and Thursday) position within our dynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy team at the University of Brighton you&rsquo;ll be joining a collaborative team of eight experienced professionals who teach across a range of modules and approaches, and we value respectful dialogue between them.</p><p>We run two courses: BACP-accredited Postgraduate Diplomas&nbsp;in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Humanistic and Psychodynamic) and a&nbsp;UKCP-accredited MSc in Psychotherapy.             <p id="isPasted"><strong>We are seeking to appoint a Senior Research Assistant in Microfluidics and Electrochemistryon a fixed-term basis (5 months) to support an exciting research project focused on the development of 3D‑printed microfluidic devices with integrated electrochemical sensors.</strong></p><p>Microfluidic sensing platforms offer powerful tools for biomedical measurement and drug discovery. This project is focused on the design, fabrication, and evaluation of microfluidic devices for monitoring key biomarkers, with the aim of developing screening tools for novel pharmaceuticals.</p><p>The postholder will be responsible for the fabrication of 3D‑printed microfluidic devices and the integration of electrochemical sensors within these platforms. Specifically, the APVC will lead REF preparations, focusing on the units of assessment in one of the three panels to which the University plans to make a submission; lead KEF preparations in their areas of responsibility (to be agreed with the PVC RKE); and provide academic leadership of one of the University&rsquo;s three Innovation Hubs.</p><p id="isPasted">The APVC will be expected to work closely with the Associate Directors &ndash; Research; Knowledge Exchange; and Contracts, Intellectual Property, and Governance, the Director of the Doctoral College, the Directors of the Centres of Research Excellence (COREs), and the Departmental Research and Knowledge Exchange Co-ordinators. They will facilitate the establishment and development of research and knowledge exchange activities and capabilities to drive excellence, support the continued growth of our research and knowledge exchange culture, and enhance the experience of students, end-users, companies, and other partners.</p><p>The post requires the use of influence, the motivation of others across the institution, and personal actions to increase our research and knowledge exchange performance against key internal and external performance metrics.</p><p>Please see the attached job description and person specification for full details of the role.             <p id="isPasted"><strong>We are offering a unique opportunity to live and work on campus supporting students in our university accommodation</strong></p><p>&nbsp;As a Staff Residential Adviser, you will be part of a team providing pastoral support and guidance to students living in halls of residence. Residential Wellbeing is the support network for students in university accommodation and sits within the wider Student Wellbeing Team. Together, we support around 2500 students living across our campuses in Brighton.</p><p>This is a unique role for an existing member of university staff. Alongside your full-time role, you&#39;ll live in one of the halls of residence and join a rota with five other Residential Advisers to provide overnight on-call cover from <strong>7.30pm to 7.30am</strong>, including weekends and bank holidays and closure periods.</p><p><strong>Key aspects of the role include:</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Providing a first-line response to student welfare concerns and critical incidents</li><li>Supporting students who are homesick or struggling to settle into university life</li><li>Signposting students to appropriate university support services</li><li>Helping resolve difficulties students may experience in their accommodation</li><li>Working with the Residential Wellbeing Team to build a sense of community and belonging in halls</li><li>&nbsp;</li></ul><p>We are looking for someone who enjoys working directly with students and is committed to supporting them during their university experience. As the role involves out-of-hours work and occasionally responding to challenging situations, you will need to remain calm, think clearly, and make sound decisions when needed.</p><p>You should be adaptable, approachable, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must also be willing to live on campus and take part in the overnight on-call rota, including some weekends and bank holidays.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>In return, you will be provided with free staff accommodation in halls of residence and an annual stipend (currently &pound;2743 per year)</strong></p>
