We are looking for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Textiles with a specialism in Weave for Fashion. This course at the University of Brighton is known for an exciting and energetic design philosophy, research excellence, innovative teaching and strong links with the creative industries.  

You will have proven industry experience, with extensive design/technical knowledge and skills related to your specialist field. The ideal candidate should have an excellent knowledge of Jacquard and Dobby design for Fashion Textiles and an in-depth knowledge of CAD design for woven textiles and current design packages that are used in industry and education

You will be based in the Woven Textiles Subject Area, at our City Centre Campus within the School of Art. The School draws together a comprehensive range of disciplines and professions that span fine art, design and applied arts. It comprises a dynamic group of scholars and practitioners working in a unique teaching and research environment that enables exploration in traditional skills of design and textiles, industry based technologies such as CAD, digital printing and laser cutting as well as cross disciplinary collaboration with those engaged in electronics, engineering and medicine.
