Deputy Industrial Placements Officer - Internal only

Our dedicated employability team helps Business School students maximise their employability skills and university experience through the provision of all kinds of work-based learning opportunities.  

Your knowledge and experience of engaging with students will be welcome in this key role which involves extensive contact with local and national organisations as employers or potential employers of our students, as well as day-to-day interactions with academic supervisors and other stakeholders within the University. 

You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills together with the necessary initiative and creativity to work closely with students to enhance and encourage their engagement with their own future employability options as University graduates.  As the role will also support the Industrial Placements Officer with training and inducting the employability team, the ability to induct, supervise and train staff is also required.

You will also have good IT skills, a working knowledge and familiarity with all social media platforms and an understanding of the employability agenda within the HE sector.

This is a 12 month fixed term post pending a university review of professional services administration.  Job sharers are welcome.

The role may be suitable for an internal secondment opportunity subject to agreement by your line manager.
