Do you have an interest in Children’s literature and learning resources?

The School of Education Curriculum Centre holds a special collection of approximately 30,000 resources broadly related to the teaching of all current National Curriculum subjects. The collection includes books, DVDs, CDs, puppets, story sacks, resource packs, games, maths equipment and artefact boxes. Our collection of children’s literature is particularly extensive.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the small Curriculum Centre team as a Learning Resources Assistant. You will be helping our academic staff, student teachers and other education professionals to navigate the centre. You’ll catalogue the resources and keep the shelves stocked and tidy.

You’ll need a keen eye for detail and a willingness to provide excellent customer service.

While some experience of working in a library environment or familiarity with children’s literature and learning resources would be desirable they are not essential for this post. The right candidate will have enthusiasm for looking after, and helping the Centres users to make the most of this unique collection.
