Estate and Facilities Management: Technical Team

Salary:  £44,706 to £51,799 per annum

As a strong communicator, who is responsive to change and analytical and creative in your problem solving, you will be looking for your next challenge in managing a diverse and evolving university estate.

In this role you will lead a team of Building Surveyors in the management and implementation of programmes of planned major maintenance and of various improvement, refurbishment and adaptation works, including building condition surveys to inform the planning process.  

With your experience of managing a diverse estate and a range of building contracts at senior level as, ideally, a Chartered Building Surveyor (ARICS or MCIOB), you will liaise and work with estates colleagues in a team approach to assist in all matters associated with the upkeep and improvement of the estate in support of the University’s Estate Strategy and Sustainability and Net Zero plans. The ability to forge and maintain effective relationships and communicate with colleagues from across the whole university will also be a key part of your role.

A commitment to continuous development of both yourself and your team, ensuring technical skills and Health and Safety legislation knowledge are kept up to date is at the heart of all that you do.
