Income Officer

Finance Department

Location:  Brighton - Moulsecoomb
Salary:  £24,285 to £27,131 per annum

Do you have experience of working in an income/debt collection team, ideally within a large organisation? If so, we would like to hear from you. In this role you will work closely with other team members and departments to administer the collection of fees and charges due from the University’s students.

Main duties will include:

  • The administration and collection of income due to the University.
  • Implementing the University's credit control procedures.
  • Dealing effectively with queries from debtors in a timely manner.
  • Providing information and explanations when required to management and internal/external auditors.
  • Undertaking ad hoc project activity as required.    

In order to succeed you should have:

  • Good communication skills and a professional approach to dealing with queries
  • A  good understanding of debt management procedures and concepts.
  • Be able to evidence an understanding of income processes and control environments.
  • Experience of dealing effectively with external/internal audits and managing external partners.
  • A proven track record of successfully working within a busy income function.

This is a full-time, 37 hours a week, permanent position, based at our Mithras House campus but with the opportunity for agile working, allowing individuals to split their time between working at home and in the office.
