Research Support Assistant (part-time)

School of Applied Social Science

Location:  Brighton - Falmer
Salary:  £23,067 to £25,941 pro rata

This is an exciting opportunity for you to apply your knowledge and experience of psychological research to a project that aims to understand more about the impact of stalking in UK society. The role involves conducting a thorough literature review on the work already done in this area, with the aim of highlighting areas of future investigation. You will also be required to write up the results of this literature review.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collating and reviewing relevant literature

  • Setting up a well organised and comprehensive spreadsheet to document this research

  • Writing a well-structured, clear review of the literature in a format that could be used to contribute to journal articles

To succeed in this role, you will have a solid understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research in psychology and cognate disciplines, and experience of conducting literature reviews. You will also need strong organisational skills and excellent writing skills.

This is a fixed term post for 1 day per week for 14 weeks, or 2 days per week for 7 weeks. Hours of attendance are negotiable and can be discussed at interview.
