Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing

This is an exciting opportunity to join vibrant team of academics dedicated to the learning and teaching of student nurses. You will join us at the beginning of our re-designed BSc (Hons) Nursing courses curriculum focused on preparing graduates with knowledge, skills, innovation and vision for a career in contemporary health care services.

We are looking to recruit a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer with up-to-date knowledge of nursing practice who has held a senior practitioner role. You will take an active part in supporting students in both theory and practice. A fundamental part of the role is collaborating with colleagues across the School with interests in nursing to develop research opportunities in practice. Our philosophy is to work in partnership with students, academics, researchers, service users and service colleagues to deliver high quality learning and teaching based contemporary research findings and practice. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Adult Nurse registration with the NMC
  • A BSc and postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject or be committed to studying at a higher level.
  • A postgraduate certificate in education (or a commitment to obtaining this) and experience of teaching nursing students in either clinical or academic settings.

If you have a PhD or Doctorate and can supervise at this level, you will have opportunities to develop as the university has an active programme for supporting early career researchers. Experience of prescribing and or leadership is desirable. You will be based at our Eastbourne campus site, and travel to other university sites will also be required.
