The University has been undergoing an ambitious programme of change, known as the Big Build. This has involved creating modern, high-quality teaching, residential and leisure facilities that are accessible and contribute to our net zero carbon ambition.  The programme continues to develop further along with developments to our learning and teaching systems, administrative systems and IT infrastructure.  The Information Services team is completely integral to this programme of transformational change.

Some of the areas that we’re working on at the moment include implementing new IT support tools, implementing a new Identity and Access Management solution, providing a new curriculum management system and further developing our Cyber Security capability. We provide our university community with a wide range of on-premise and cloud applications and the underpinning infrastructure to support it.

In addition to being part of a learning environment, the University provides a flexible working environment through our agile working framework - all work undertaken for us does need to be carried out in the UK.  As well as working in a supportive environment where we put our students at the heart of everything we do, we offer a broad range of benefits – generous pension contributions and annual leave entitlements, cycle to work scheme, discounts at major retailers through our Edenred Scheme, enhanced family friendly leave packages and carers’ leave.

If you would like to find out more information about any of these roles, please contact Mark Eade for an informal chat: m.eade@brighton.ac.uk and further information about how to apply.
