Portal Technologies Adviser (Customer Support)

Salary:  £30,395 to £34,189 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team that provides specialist technical support to all university staff to enable them to use the Staff Portal platform to its full potential.  

You will play a key role in planning and delivering training to meet individual and institutional training and support needs. Also understanding wider IT requirements and business objectives of departments in order to plan, develop and deliver solutions using SharePoint technology to drive efficiencies and internal processes.  You will also be involved in the planning, testing and supporting the upgrade of the portal from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online and O365. 

Experience in using or managing SharePoint is desirable but not essential, however you would need to have a good working knowledge and understanding of digital information platforms, be competent in the use of technology and be keen to learn and explore new skills and technologies and translate these into practical applications that can benefit the university and its staff. Clear communication skills are essential, alongside competency in delivering training and guidance to suit different audiences. 

This role is based primarily at the Moulscoomb campus, with occasional visits to other campuses as required.
