An exciting opportunity has arisen in the School of Art and Media for a Senior Technician to work in the media subject area, within City and Moulsecoomb campuses.
Working alongside the technical team manager, your main responsibilities will be to organise, prepare a media loan store and the online booking system, ensuring there is sufficient stock to cover issuing peaks and provide information on which source of equipment is required. To supervise and support students in the correct usage of equipment and facilities.
You will have the opportunity to provide technical support for the needs of students and staff using media equipment . You will ensure that safe codes of practice are maintained, and current Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to in order to make your work area a safe place for staff, students and visitors.
To succeed in the role, you will have
The Skills and Ability to run, on a day to day basis, a media loan store and the online booking system. Ensuring there is sufficient stock to cover issuing peaks, providing guidance on which sort of equipment is required.
Excellent organisation, communication, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving skills.
Good administration skills, with ability to use a asset management systems. MS Office packages including Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Able to effectively communicate clearly with people from many diverse backgrounds.
This is a Full Time 37 hours per week permanent position . We welcome applications from job sharers.
