An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and manage, as one of three Associate Directors, the Department of Research and Knowledge Exchange with emphasis on the University of Brighton’s Knowledge Exchange Team.

We are seeking an experienced Knowledge Exchange Professional to join our Research and Knowledge Exchange Leadership Team to build on a rich legacy of knowledge exchange with diverse partners, to develop and drive forward a new knowledge exchange strategy that maximises engagement with our local, regional and national communities. 

The University's Research and Knowledge Exchange seeks excellence in collaborative research and knowledge exchange activities with a wide range of stakeholders, through generating ideas, creating opportunities and engaging in activities and strategic partnerships that benefit wider society. 

This role will provide senior management, operational and strategic direction for the university in the planning, oversight and management of activities related to the knowledge exchange elements of the University's new Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategic Plan, and build on our strong performance in the inaugural Knowledge Exchange Framework.  

To be successful in this post, you should have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of university activities and aims gained through extensive experience in a university setting or an aligned industry or public body, along with policy awareness and an ability to promote the KE agenda at a strategic level internally and with external partners.  Strong interpersonal skills, proven capability are needed to lead and motivate a diverse team, and a track record of success in maximising income and performance.
