Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Mathematics (0.60 full-time equivalent)

School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics

Location:  Brighton - Moulsecoomb
Salary:  £35,845 to £51,034 pro rata

We are seeking a mathematician who can contribute to the development and delivery of our courses using a range of teaching methods and ways of supporting student learning.  A PhD or professional experience is essential for the role as well as the potential to develop quality research and enterprise activity in mathematics. You will therefore be capable of delivering a high quality student experience and have a commitment to advancing research and enterprise. A willingness to develop expertise in Financial Mathematics is an advantage but is not essential.

In order to be successful in this post you should have:

  • A good (1 or 2.1) degree in mathematics or a closely related discipline.
  • The ability to contribute to the design and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate modules across a range of areas of mathematics.
  • A recognised Higher Education teaching qualification or relevant teaching experience or positive commitment to gaining HEA Fellowship within two years.
