Student Information Desk Adviser (Careers)

Salary:  £22,659 to £25,482 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Careers Service and we are looking for a Student Information Desk Advisor.

In this varied and challenging role, you will be a strong communicator, team player with good general IT skills. Have experience of customer service and/or providing information, advice and guidance in a service setting. You will provide an efficient, effective triage service, managing enquiries and providing administrative support activities on matters related to all aspects of the Careers Service and Employability. 

In order to be successful in this role you will:

  • Utilse resources to meet the needs of our service users
  • Have the ability to plan, prioritise and manage a range of work activities
  • Be able to communicate regulations and procedures, demonstrating sensitivity and diplomacy 
  • Be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision

Hours of attendance are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30/9 – 4.30/5. 

This post is fixed-term for one year.
