This is an exciting opportunity to join our team, in a newly created role that puts you at the very heart of delivering student wellbeing and safeguarding services within the university.
You will be joining the wider Student Wellbeing team and working collaboratively with other colleagues across the University, particularly the Disability and Dyslexia team. The role works closely with the Wellbeing Coordinator in managing and responding to increased demand for complex student support, particularly around mental health and where specialist provision may required.
The role will incorporate a range of casework, care-planning, risk assessment, evidence-based interventions and opportunities to develop an effective network.
To be successful in this role you will have practical experience of:
- Developing detailed care plans.
- Delivering safeguarding responses.
- Risk management strategies.
You will work creatively and bring a good understanding of mental health and third sector organisations to the role. Excellent interpersonal skills and organisational skills are essential. You will be based at our Moulsecoomb Campus, but the nature of the work will require frequent travel to all university sites in East Sussex.
In return, we offer a generous package with benefits including annual leave starting at 25 days, paid bank holidays, additional paid leave during the Christmas period, travel loans, pension schemes and childcare vouchers.
Please note that you will be required to have a DBS check.
