Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Data Analytics and Data Science

Salary:  £36,382 to £51,799 per annum

This is an interdisciplinary role spanning across computer science and mathematics.

In your new role, you will contribute to the design and teaching of the material / modules on our undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of computer science and mathematics.  

Our lecturers should be able to demonstrate a commitment to high quality learning and teaching across all levels of Higher Education and you will be supported to gain an accredited UK teaching qualification if you do not already have one. 

You will also be expected to act as a personal tutor to provide pastoral care to our students.  In order to be successful in this post, you should have:

  • A good (1 or 2.1) degree and a postgraduate qualification in data analytics/science (or a related discipline) with proven practical experience of data analysis, either in industry or academia.
  • Ability to contribute to the development and delivery of data analytics and data science modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level to students with a wide variety of backgrounds and levels of knowledge.
  • Experience of, or potential to develop, quality research, consultancy or other economic and social engagement activity relevant to the needs of the School.
  • An accredited UK teaching qualification or be committed to obtain one within 2 years of starting.
