The University has recently established the School of Architecture, Technology and Engineering (ATE) which brings together a strong portfolio of high-quality, practice-based research and knowledge exchange collaborations over a range of disciplines including: visual computing, secure software engineering, applied thermal fluids, structures, built environment, values and sustainability and architecture and design with a particular emphasis on communities and sustainability.  

We are looking for a self-motivated academic to be at the forefront of new research activities across the breadth of the School under the umbrella of industry 4.0/5.0.  As a new professor in the School you would be expected to lead research in any ATE related discipline and to make a contribution by research, professional practice and academic leadership to the advancement of learning and/or application of knowledge.  An ability to teach within the broad area of computing applications will also be of benefit. 

In order to be successful in this post, you should have a record of excellence in your chosen field which is recognised nationally and possibly internationally.  A sustained record of leading major research programmes with academic and non-academic partners is also desirable.
